New Express Bus links Zebulon and Wendell to Raleigh!
Submitted by Caitlin Burke on Thu, 10/15/2009 - 1:51pm.
The much-needed and much-anticipated rush-hour express bus between Raleigh and the eastern Wake towns of Zebulon and Wendell will start service on Monday October 26!
Sponsored by Triangle Transit and using Capital Area Transit buses, the Zebulon/Wendell Raleigh Express (ZWX) will serve commuters working in downtown and east Raleigh, running weekdays from 6 to 9 am, and 4 to 7 pm.
The buses will run fare-free for the first 5 weeks before riders have to start paying on December 1. Discount fares and passes are available, and many government and private employers provide free or discounted passes to employees. Be sure to find out if your employer offers such a benefit!
